Strategic Planning Update – Faculty and Staff Listening Sessions on Proposed Goals, Vision and Values

Dear NC State faculty and staff –

Welcome to a new semester, where we are excited to wrap up the strategic planning process. In December we shared the proposed goals, vision and values with you for review. We have scheduled several listening sessions for this semester with various staff, faculty and students. In these sessions we are asking questions such as: What is your initial response or reaction to these high-level goals? Where do you see yourself fitting into these goals from a grad student perspective or any other position you hold on campus? and What are some ideas or potential strategies you could see fitting into these goals?

In addition, the Strategic Planning Executive Steering committee would like to invite you to an open faculty or staff session. We have initially identified two dates and times for each. Those dates are:

  • Faculty
    • Thursday, February 11 – 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.
    • Friday, February 12 – 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.
  • Staff
    • Thursday, February 11 – noon – 1 p.m.
    • Friday, February 12 – 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

We are asking that you indicate your interest in participating in an open listening session by completing this form even if these dates and times do not work with your schedule. If there is enough interest for alternate dates and times, we will hold additional open sessions in the following weeks. You will receive a follow-up email with your scheduled date and time along with additional details. Please complete this form by Thursday, February 4.

We look forward to continued engagement with the community to create the next 10-year strategic plan. If you have specific questions about strategic planning and the current process, please email strategic-planning@ncsu.edu.

Sincerely,
