Achieving our strategic plan’s goals will take unwavering commitment from the entire NC State community. We’ve made great progress on the plan’s implementation, but that’s just the beginning.

Goal 1: Student Success

Our goal is to create academic and nonacademic experiences that prepare students to become leaders in their fields — and to graduate on time. We’ve streamlined transfer processes, increased support for overseas study and launched initiatives to help graduate students finish their dissertations, among many other efforts.

Those measures are paying off, with retention and graduation rates reaching all-time highs.
